By popular request, Dynamic Racing Transmissions has released a Refurbished Ford C4 Governor to replace your faulty, sticking stock unit.
We start with a seasoned core, then fully disassemble it, Thermally clean all the parts, then polish the valves and reassemble with the factory weights and springs.
Installation requires the removal of the factory tailhousing to access the old governor.
Simply loosen the four mounting bolts, slide the old casting off the output shaft and then slide the new unit on and bolt it up.
Install the tailhousing and you are back in business!
This kit is great for street vehicles experiencing delayed or no automatic shifting.
Optionally, you can upgrade to the lightweight performance governor valve and we will install it in the casting for you.
